What can you expect to happen when you make a claim with McAMS?

Every claim can be different, depending on your specific needs. However, below we have outlined the typical process our claims follow.

1. Get In Touch

It’s easy to start off your claim. Just call us using the phone number at the top of this page, or submit your details using our online claim form.

2. Claim Assessed

One of our claims handlers will discuss the details of your claim and the accident circumstances with you and determine if we think you have a genuine case. If all is well, and we think we can be of assistance, we move on to the next step.

3. Claim Proceeds

If your bike is unroadworthy as a result of the accident, then we will typically arrange to have a hire bike delivered to you. You can use this bike until your old bike is repaired, or if your old bike is written off, until you get your cheque for the value of the bike. We’ll do our best to match the hire bike to your old one, so it’s better suited to you. If you have sustained any loss from the accident, we can also connect you up to our approved solicitors, who will open a compensation claim on your behalf.

4. Claim Settled

As your claim comes to a close, you’ll get your bike back, good as new. Or if it was written off, you’ll get a cheque for it’s full value. We’ll collect the hire back back once you’re happy and we’ll send the bill to the other party’s insurance company!
